The Holistic Way to Optimal Health

Acupuncture in Hillsborough & Graham, NC

Welcome! You may be visiting because of a health concern that hasn’t resolved, or because conventional medical approaches haven’t provided the relief you’re seeking. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) offers a time-tested, holistic approach that works beautifully as both an alternative and a complement to standard medical care for a wide range of conditions.

While acupuncture is widely known for pain relief, it has been shown to effectively support over 40 conditions, according to the World Health Organization. Patients often seek care not only for pain, but also for stress-related conditions, sleep issues, anxiety and depression, allergies, and women’s health concerns.

At Acupuncture Hillsborough and Acupuncture Graham, we regularly help patients with back pain, headaches, stress, insomnia, hormonal balance, fertility support, PMS, and menopause. Through our long-standing association with the Women’s Birth and Wellness Center, we have also supported hundreds of women in achieving natural, empowered births.

If you have questions about whether acupuncture is right for you, we invite you to call for a free consultation.

What to Expect

During your first visit, you’ll be asked detailed questions about your health history, lifestyle, and current concerns. This allows us to understand your unique constitution and tailor treatment specifically to you.Diagnosis in Traditional Chinese Medicine also includes tongue observation and pulse reading. The shape, color, and coating of the tongue are evaluated, and pulses are read on both wrists to assess internal balance.

Once a diagnosis is made, treatment typically includes acupuncture tailored to your condition. When needles are in place, most patients describe sensations such as warmth, tingling, or gentle heaviness that is often deeply relaxing. For pain-related concerns, treatment may also include Asian bodywork or cupping therapy.

For internal conditions, herbal medicine and nutritional support may be prescribed.

We offer a range of holistic treatments designed to support both physical and internal health, including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional counseling, pregnancy support, therapeutic bodywork, and cupping and gua sha therapies. Each treatment is tailored to the individual, with care plans designed to restore balance, relieve pain, and support long-term wellness.
